CELTIC FROST press release:
As we are preparing to write the last chapter of the "Monotheist" tour by
playing our first ever concerts in Australia and appearing yet again at
various festivals across Europe this summer, it is time to reflect on the
events of the past months.
Celtic Frost's most recent show, on May 20, 2007, in Athens, Greece, was the
115th concert of the "Monotheist" tour. Since May 29, 2006, the date of
Celtic Frost's first concert in 16 years, we played Europe's most
significant metal festivals and then crossed the Atlantic to perform 46
shows in the US and Canada, making this the most extensive tour of North
America in Celtic Frost's history.
This was followed, in January 2007, by our first concerts in Japan and, in
March and April, by our most comprehensive tour of Europe so far. We then
returned to the United States for a further 25 concerts in April and May,
this time as special guests to Type O Negative, taking the total number of
concerts played by Celtic Frost in North America since September of last
year to 71. Celtic Frost then returned to Europe to play two further
concerts in Greece.
The reactions we encountered during almost all of these shows were
overwhelmingly positive. There were a great many concerts which can only be
described as truly magic. We owe our audiences immense gratitude, for it is
them who have made this huge undertaking, and, indeed, the return of Celtic
Frost, possible in the first place. We feel deeply honored to find ourselves
in their circle. Much gratitude and respect are also due to Type O Negative
and their crew for both their friendship and the amazingly generous
treatment extended to us.
The Frost bows to all of you.

The FRONTIERS RECORDS myspace page www.myspace.com/frontiersrecords was recently updated with a new music player which will be specially dedicated to the launch of some newcomers recently recently signed to the label.
The first 3 songs uploaded are taken from the demo tapes that gained the first recording contract for WORK OF ART, SEVEN TEARS and for the US Aorsters ACTION.
WORK OF ART, featuring singer Lars Säfsund, one of Sweden’s best kept secrets with Robert Säll on guitars and Herman Furin on drums, WORK OF ART delivers a melodic, yet powerful rock music, based around Lars strong vocals. Influences from bands like Toto, Journey and Giant can easily be spotted in the sound of the trio, which still has a very recognizable trademark.
The band's first demo tape was reviewed in some on line magazines with glowing statements such as "one of the better acts to come out of the Swedish AOR-ish jungle in a very long time" on AOR Dreamzones and "AOR of the highest level” on Strutter.
Their debut album is currently being recorded with a release planned for the end of this year. Learn more at:
www.myspace.com/musicofworkofart
SEVEN TEARS, previously known as ATLANTICA (their demo received a great review on SWEDEN ROCK Magazine in early 2006) the band is now formed by Jonathan Carlemar on guitars, Fredrik Lager on bass, Kristofer von Wachenfeldt on keyboards (PLATITUDE), Michael Sjöö on drums (SPEARFISH) and singer Zoran Djorem. With this line-up SEVEN TEARS recorded the demo "The Story Unfolds" which was sent in early 2007 to the attention of Frontiers Records who immediately liked the music and offered a recording deal to the guys in February 2007.
With a music style that mixes the classic Scandinavian Metal sound with more melodic elements and a singer who is a deadringer for Russell Allen, SEVEN TEARS are currently busy recording the debut album under the direction of Peter Lundin (SPEARFISH) at Teknik Kompaniet Studios in Vetlanda, Sweden. Frontiers hopes to release the album during the fall 2007. Visit their page:
www.myspace.com/seventearsmusic
Originally formed in 1985, ACTION is a long-time concept devised by acclaimed guitarist & songwriter “Chip” of Mars Hill, The Hitmen and What Matters fame.
Between bands and life itself, Chip has written and recorded a number of outstanding melodic rock tracks over the years which range from 80’s rock / metal to more modern adult oriented rock. He has been saving some of these unused gems, with the addition of new material, for what will be the forthcoming 2007 ACTION debut on Frontiers Records.
The official ACTION debut album line up will feature the soaring vocals of other Mars Hill members Jack Marques on vocals and the musical talents of keyboardist Ruben Demello, bassist Chris Sutherland plus drummer Chris Lungo, with additional drums from Mark Duane.
The guys started the recording on March 2nd and hope to complete and deliver the final master by the end of the month. Don’t forget to check out the band’s website:

TOBY JEPSON has stepped in to front FASTWAY! Here's the press release:
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Toby Jepson, ex-lead
singer of the chart topping British rock band Little Angels and current
solo artist has been invited to join the ranks as lead vocalist of the
2007 version of Fastway.
Fastway was the brainchild of ex-Motorhead Guitar legend 'Fast' Eddie
Clarke who achieved huge success in the mid eighties releasing 3 albums
to popular acclaim both in Europe and the US. Having had a rest from the
business, Eddie has re-surfaced with fresh intent, a new line up
featuring bass player John McManus (ex-Mamas Boys) and drummer Steve
Strange, and a series of open air festival dates (listed below).
This invitation has come as a surprise to Toby and I'm sure to all of
you, but never the less Toby has accepted the challenge and had the
following to say about the situation "I'm very excited to be asked to do
this, I owned a copy of the first Fastway record and have a lot of
respect for Eddie, it is a great opportunity and one I simply couldn't
turn down...it will see me as part of a great band treading the stages
of Europe's biggest festival this year and who know what else in the
future..."
When pushed about how it will affect Tobes solo career he said "not at
all is the answer! I have had detailed discussions with the management
of the Fastway camp and have let them know that I have a solo career in
development that I have commitment to and will continue to pursue. I see
this project with Fastway as a great second string, it allows me to work
with other musicians on material that isn't mine and so stretches me as
a vocalist and allows me to simply concentrate on the singing...it looks
like it will be a lot of fun and I intend to enjoy it...we have already
had a couple of rehearsals and it sounded great, Eddie is on top form so
I think the shows will be very cool, however, the Chepstow show and the
September tour is still of the highest priority for me and I cant wait
to get back in the studio in July to record the next EP so all is as it
should be."

PRIMAL FEAR sent an update regarding their video sessions:
Hard work during the last days in a rotten place near Stuttgart/Germany,
where we produced two new video clips with director Katja Piolka. "Fighting
The Darkness" and "Sign Of Fear" - another combination of a nice and a
brutal song, we've chosen for the clips for the forthcoming album "New
Religion" this time. More pictures and some groundbreaking news regarding
the future of the band will be posted here online during the next week. But
first, here's a shocking picture from the video shoot!

Onslaught and again there was commercial success even from that unlikely
line-up. The band's debut single even charted in the UK.

ARCH ENEMY vocalist Angela Gossow has just finished tracking her vocals and reports in with her personal resume of the recordings so far:
“Hells yeah, I am done with my vocals! I recorded 14 songs in total, faster then ever. Plenty of first takes there, hardly any double vocals, just straight up into the microphone.
I experimented quite a bit with doubling vocal lines on the last album, which I now feel kind of took personality and vocal attack away. So this time it’s the classic, one vocal track, no frills, no effects approach.
I put a lot of work and emotions into the lyrics, some of them actually made me cry, most of them made me very, very angry. They deal with the pain and losses we cause each other. To balance these gloomy themes out, we managed to write some lyrics in the vein of “We Will Rise” – you know, FIGHT songs! There is not only suffering and injustice in this world, but also hope, love and friendship.
Nevertheless, this album will crush you and the vocals are mean all the way. No whining and no wailing. Some song titles: “Blood Is On Your Hands”, “Vultures” and “In This Shallow Grave”.
I enjoyed recording at the new Studio Fredman in the village of Hyssna. Fredrik (Nordström, producer) managed to set up a killer vocal sound, but Michael tracked and produced all my vocals. I recorded in the evenings and late at night, when the guys were done with their instrumental parts. Special thanks go to Fredrik for lending me a car these days! On my time off I was cruising through the surroundings of “Västra Götaland”, which is very beautiful, but also a very empty part of Sweden indeed...
We will start mixing the album very soon. Niklas Sundin (Cabin Fever Media) is working on some very cool artwork for this album. I believe we also have agreed on the album title, but more news about all this later… Pure fucking metal!

Finnish hard/heavy rock band MoonMadness’ second
single “Stroke of Midnight” entered the
official Finnish single charts at 20th place a
week after release. The single combines heavily
the main ingredients of MoonMadness; catchy
melodies and intense riffing performed with skill
and style. “Stroke of Midnight” is a strong
preview to the band’s debut album which will be
released later this year. From the MoonMadness’
home page you can
find the link to the sample of the song.
The second track of the disc is live video of
“Ain’t no Angel”, shot at Pakkahuone Hall
Tampere, Finland last December. The video clearly
proves the strength of MoonMadness as a live act
as webzine Rockunited.com writes " "Ain't No
Angel" looks and sounds good and rocks like any
other MoonMadness song… these Finns play their
classic rock with style, just like it's supposed to be played.”
MoonMadness was founded around the Millennium,
played their first show in spring 2004 and
released their critically acclaimed debut single
“Thunder” in early 2006. The line up was
established by the autumn of the same year:
Heidi Bergbacka - vocals
Otto Hallamaa - guitar
Juha Leppaharju - bass
AnttoNikolai Tuomainen - drums
Turkka Vuorinen - keyboards
“Stroke of Midnight” can be purchased via the
Internet from the web stores Recordshop X and Record Office.

NEXX, the Spanish AOR group is going through changes, and closing all of their Internet operations. Here are the official statements from the NEXX Camp.
The first one is from Bernardo, guitarist and founder of the NEXX:
"Hello everybody:
It is unusual that I write something in the web, isn't it? For me it is not only unusual but special too. Special because Nexx is my girlfriend in the music for 8 years; My first and only girlfriend! We and you all are part of "her", for that reason I want and must tell you my thoughts, my feelings.
Six months ago Another Dawn was released. It's been more than one year since the recording and 3 since we wrote it. A long time, perhaps too much? For me the main, and maybe only, reason Nexx was born, has grown and lives day by day is the Music itself. The art that must be always in the musician mind and, of course, in the listeners, that are transformed while they listen to the music.
It's been some time since I feel that I'm not caring enough about that important aspect. I love Music and I love Nexx, and for that reason I've decided to move away from the band for an undefined time: it is necessary that I open the windows to see the landscape and breathe the external air; trying to get rid of all the obstacles in my mind so I can give Nexx everything "she" deserves.
I don't know the consequences of this decision for the band. I only know that this is the best decision. But come what may I'd like to tell you that I will always be tied to Nexx and to all of you. Thank you very much for your important company. For all.
Best Regards,
Bernardo"
The second one is from the band, regarding their internet activity:
"Nexx would like to let you know that we are going to stop any internet activity about the band by the moment: mail, yahoo groups, myspace...
The reason why is that we can´t attend our friends and fans properly, then the band have decided not keep this service as long as we are not able to give you all our attention 100%.
We are very pleased of all your support, every single fan or person who has believed in us anytime.
Yours sincerely, me and the rest of the band,
Jose Angel de la Banda"
Frontiers Records (Zink Music/Bonnier Amigo) proudly announce the release of MARCO MENDOZA solo album "Live For Tomorrow" on July 6th 2007.
Marco is one of the most respected and well known musicians in the Los
Angeles music scene. According to Ted Nugent, "Marco is the world's
greatest bass player and he's got the soul". He also played with the likes
of Thin Lizzy (with whom he's been recently touring UK and going to appear
live during the summer), Whitesnake, Blue Murder, Ozzy Osbourne and The
Cranberries.
Though most often recognized for his jaw-dropping 6-string fretless bass
chops, Marco is a master of the 4, 5 and 6-string fretted bass, too. But
that's not enough. In "Live For Tomorrow", his debut solo album, Marco shows
his hidden vocal talent, which just needs to be heard to be believed! Mixing
different vocals styles from the bluesy David Coverdale and Paul Rodgers
ranges to the Eric Martin-esque overtones, Mendoza shines as a singer that
is able to deliver a passionate and strong performance in every song.
"Live For Tomorrow" was mostly written and produced by Marco during the
second half of 2006 and the beginning of 2007, together with former Poison
and Mr. Big guitarist Richie Kotzen, who also produced the album. Musically
the record offers a sincere and down to earth sound, reminiscing of classic
Hard Rock (with hints to AC/DC, Mr Big, Damn Yankees etc.) with Blues and
Melodic Rock roots.
Some very special guests appear to tribute the talent of this amazing guy.
Among them: Ted Nugent, Doug Aldrich (of Whitesnake) and Steve Lukather of
TOTO all offer guitar solos appearances, Tommy Aldridge of Whitesnake and
Brian Tichy (Pride and Glory, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, and Billy Idol) play
drums while Richie Kotzen of course handles the bulk of guitars and duets on
vocals with Marco on "I Want You".
Final tracklisting: Not For Me; Live For Tomorrow;
Lettin' Go; Look Out For The Boys; I Want You ; Your Touch
; Let The Sun Shine; You Got
Me; In My Face; Broken; Still In Me; Dance With Me
Samples:

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all details surrounding the
release of ROBIN BECK's forthcoming studio album project "Livin' On A
Dream" on July 6th 2007.
Robin started writing the songs that would make the follow up to "Do
You Miss Me" in late 2006. "I started co-writing back in December and
completed the first song "Nothing's Gonna Change Your World" in January
2007" says Robin, who adds "I wanted to write songs that would rock my
own personal way. The biggest difference between the new CD, "Livin' On
A Dream" and 'Do you Miss Me" is that this new CD is driven by my own
story lines. "Do You Miss Me" lacked that aspect... There is a tougher,
more edgy melodic/rock foundation to the stories".
Robin was not alone in her powerful new undertaking, "Livin' On A
Dream". "There is a strong new member of my writing team, Tommy
Denander" states the now Florida-based singer. "Tommy is a powerful
player and his input was key to this project becoming my best work as a
writer and a singer.. Tommy co-produced with James Christian my partner
and husband and we all worked in perfect harmony together. Another one
of the highlights of this CD is the collaboration between Chris Pelcer,
James Christian, Jeff Kent and my self on the song "Always". I'm also
back with my closest writing partner, Jeff Kent who put me firmly back
into my truest Rock n' Roll shoes. Jeff and I are an amazing writing
team. I also had the privilege of working with "guitar great", Jimi Bell
and drummer "extraordinaire" BJ Zampa, both House Of Lords band members.
In my opinion, we wrote two of best rockers on the CD. Last, but not
least, I will always have a touch of my favorite songwriters Amy Sky and
Marc Jordan somewhere in my work. They collaborated on a a song called
"Until The Last Teardrop Falls" which brought James and I together for a
heart pounding ballad that shows the profound love we share in no
uncertain terms. Of course, James is at the helm of everything
magnificent about these recordings. He is the only producer I have ever
worked with who really knows how to bring the best out in my vocal
performances. These are best productions of my career, period!"
"Livin On a Dream" promises to be Robin Beck's most powerful and
exciting creation ever! "This CD is what my fans have been asking me to
record for years now. An entire CD of my own work realized. I am so
proud of these recordings. All the songs you will find have provocative
and memorable hooks with monster playing. We all found a unique
collaboration of creative energies that made "Living on a Dream" be an
artist's dream come true".
"Livin' On A Dream" will include the following tracks:
Livin' On A Dream; Show Me The Way; Love Me Like A Man; Always ; Nothing's Gonna Change Your World; Seventeen Forever; Can't Get Enough Of Your Heart; Runaway; Wrapped Around Your Finger; It's Magic; I Can't Walk The Line; Till The Last Tear Drop Falls: Love Lies.
Release date is scheduled on July 6th 2007 on Frontiers Records.

LOS ANGELES presents the shining talents of Michele Luppi: an Italian
amazing singer who cut his teeth at the VIT Los Angeles, with Robin
Randall (co-writer of hits for FM, Mark Free, James Christian etc) as
one of his musical coaches.
Upon his return to Italy, he gathered considerable experience having the
opportunity to sing alongside some of the most important national and
international artists, including: Maurizio Solieri, Andrea Braido,
Umberto Tozzi, Glenn Hughes and Ian Paice of Deep Purple.
Strong in a singing style, which has become unique, Michele started
teaching with some of the most important Italian music schools and at
the same time started a massive live work with his band MR. PIG, later
joining the Italian Progressive Metal masters VISION DIVINE.
LOS ANGELES is Luppi's personal tribute to the AOR greats that shaped
his singing and songwriting abilities and also features Fabrizio Grossi,
Tommy Denander, Frankie De Grasso with Gregg Giuffria (HOUSE OF LORDS)
appearing as special guest on keyboards. "It is a dream come true to
have one of my greatest musical heroes, Gregg Giuffria, guesting on the
album" states Michele "I used to have his poster stuck on my bedroom
walls and now he plays on my record. I can't believe it"
About the music and the songs Michele says: "This kind of music gave me
the desire to become a pro-musician, the one that got stuck into my
heart in my early days: I'm pretty sure it's gonna stay there forever. I
think the songs turned out heavier compared to the originals; we all
made efforts in order to make the tunes sound "fresh". I put all my
passion and strength in this project".
While Luppi's astounding vocals can be described as Mark Free meets Eric
Martin and songs supplied by the likes of Richard Marx, Jeff Paris and
Dennis Matkovsky (among others), LOS ANGELES is a true AOR beauty. "I
hope more people will listen to my songs and share the beauty of this
"branch of Rock" called AOR" concludes Luppi, adding "AOR is beauty
within Rock Music and I'm truly honoured to be part of it!"
The album will be released in Europe on Frontiers Records on July 6th
2007, with a Japanese release to be handled via King Records.
Tracklisting of LOS ANGELES includes the following tracks:
I Will Carry You; I Must Be Blind; Thanks To You; Edge of Forever; Last Chance; Run; When You Think Of Me; One More Try; The Other Side; Caroline; Measure Of A Man.
Samples:

UK melodic rock band TARA'S SECRET will finish after a last rocking show this
Saturday at The Moorfoot Tavern in Sheffield this Saturday 10th May - this will be
an acoustic-ish evening with plenty of spare microphones for anyone who cares to
joins in on vocals.
3 years, 2 albums, over 80 live shows, Fireworks, Powerplay, Burrn, Classic Rock
magazines, rock radio worldwide, amazing online reviews, overseas online fan sites,
CDs on sale in Europe, USA, Japan etc, but still so few coming along to see the band
live at many of the shows and so few offers to support bigger bands within the
melodic rock genre. Bad timing (work) led the band to turning down appearances at
both Firefest and Z Rock, which would have introduced them to a wider audience,
however many of those who were hungry for new exciting melodic rock music in 1988
are not that hungry today and this has eventually led to a couple of band members
leaving the band for pastures new.
The band thanks everyone who has supported us through what has mostly been great fun
these past 3 years. The acclaimed album "Tomorrow The World" continues to be onsale
at the knockdown price of £6.00 (inc UK P&P) and (7.00 in overseas P&P) from

Legendary heavy metal band ATTACKER has signed with CHAVIS RECORDS
for the worldwide digital distribution of their complete catalog
including the critically acclaimed 'Battle At Helms Deep', plus 'The
Second Coming', 'Soul Taker' and 'The Unknown'.
Formed in 1983, and being one of the first heavy metal bands to use
J.R.R. Tolkien's books as a source of inspiration, ATTACKER released
'Battle At Helms Deep' and quickly amassed a legion of metal
followers making 'Battle At Helms Deep' an underground critically
acclaimed metal masterpiece. ATTACKER released 'The Second Coming' in
1988 and then went into hiatus.
2004 saw ATTACKER make a solid comeback with the release of 'Soul
Taker' and established themselves as one of the great live bands when
they performed their now legendary showcase at the KEEP IT TRUE
Festival in April 2004 at Tauberfrankenhalle, Lauda-Königshofen,
Germany along with their headlining debut at the HEAVY METAL MANIACS
Festival in October 2004 at Manifesto Hall in Hoorn Holland. Upon
their return from Holland, the band kept a low profile as far as live
shows with the exception of their still talked about performances in
Germany in July of 2005. A trek that was highlighted by a special
performance of the entire 'Battle At Helms Deep' album which took
place at the world-renowned Head-Bangers Ballroom in Hamburg. Aside
from conquering Europe the band kept an intense studio schedule while
creating their newest effort 'The Unknown' released in 2006.
Since the release of 'The Unknown', ATTACKER has stepped up their
live performances with many appearances at the TRUE METAL AMERICA
Concert Series and are one of very few bands to be asked back to the
KEEP IT TRUE Festival in 2008! ATTACKER will deliver a very special
show by performing the complete 'Battle At Helms Deep' saga.
ATTACKER has enjoyed one of the best comebacks to ever occur in many
years. The band has now come, full circle and are back where they
belong. The band is in the pre production stages of a new release for
2008. Throughout their career, the band has built an incredible
worldwide following, thanks to timeless heavy metal classics such as
the aforemetioned 'Battle At Helms Deep', 'The Second Coming' plus
their come back classic 'Soul Taker' and now 'The Unknown', all to be
release digitally via CHAVIS RECORDS and available at iTunes,
Rhapsody, AOL Music, Yahoo Music plus many many more worldwide.

KEVIN DUBROW sent us this press release regarding a Randy Rhoads movie:
Kevin DuBrow on the Randy Rhoads Film Project: "THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH."
As anyone who really knows me will tell you, I adored Randy Rhoads. In my life Randy
Rhoads and Frankie Banali have been my 2 dearest friends. Friendship means
everything to me and I take it very, very seriously. If not for the start that Randy
gave me I would not enjoy the career that still supports me well to this day. I miss
his hilarious personality and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I would
have loved to have be involved in a accurate film about Randy who is still my
favorite guitar player and best friend.
When Dakota films director Peter Margolis called me to be involved in the proposed
Randy Rhoads documentary I was hesitant to say the least. With a recent book full on
inaccuracies based on the authors opinions rather than facts about Randy was
released, I was apprehensive at best. I relayed to him that my biggest concern was
for the film to be totally about Randy and not about others trying promote a book or
new album and their own personal agendas at the expense of associations with Randy
be it real, fabricated or imagined. Unlike others involved and contrary to what some
may believe, I have no ulterior motives.
Peter assured me that this would not be the case. I told him that I have arguably
the most accurate and complete memory from those years and would be willing to
provide him with any and all of the massive amount of archival material in my
possession which is extensive.
After being advised to do some careful investigation on my part, a few days later I
realized that this film and some of it’s participants indeed had their own over
riding priorities and Randy would not be represented as accurately or in many ways
in a truthful manner. Then and only then did I decide to bow out.
The recent article from Guitar World titled “Randy Rhoads gets the Shaft” and
the Blabbermouth post titled “Randy Rhoads dissed by former band mate” is when I
truly realized that my sources were accurate in how this film would be handled. In
all the five years that I played with Randy we never once had an argument and spent
many hours playing around in the Hollywood area. In a million years I would not have
a negative thing to say about Randy. He was the greatest guitarist I ever knew and
worked with and one of the two most beautiful people I have had the privilege to
share both my personal and musical life with.
Below please find the original letter that I sent Peter Margolis via e-mail:
To: Mr. Peter Margolis/Dakota Pictures
Peter,
Please accept this e-mail as my formal notice to decline your kind offer to
participate in your planned film project "Randy Rhoads Documentary" that you
previously approached me about.
It is my continued devotion and affection for the memory of Randy Rhoads and our
time together that dictates that I keep those memories and feelings private so that
they are not misconstrued as an attempt to monopolize on either Randy's life or his
untimely passing.
I will continue to hold Randy's memory dear and private as always. I wish you much
success in this worthwhile endeavor. Do Randy's memory, family and legacy proud.
Sincerely,
Kevin DuBrow
(End of Letter)
While I do wish them success with the film, my protective feelings for the memory of
Randy will not allow me to be a part in this in any manner.
With no disrespect intended to all involved, wouldn't it be a fitting tribute to the
memory and greatness that still is Randy Rhoads for the film makers and everyone
involved to decree that all the proceeds and profits from this film after legitimate
non-inflated artists or production cost be designated as a gift to a charity chosen
by the Rhoads family? Or perhaps that profits from the film be contributed to a
Randy Rhoads music scholarship? What a fitting and selfless tribute that would truly
be! I guess I can dream, can't I..........?
